This year marked our 9th year participating in the First Lego League Challenge, and what a journey it has been! We competed in four different stages across two countries—Romania and Moldova—pushing our creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills to new depths.
With the Submerged theme, teams explored the layers of the ocean using Lego technology and innovative thinking, tackling real-world challenges and bringing their ideas to the surface. From regional qualifiers to national finals, our students embraced each challenge with enthusiasm, making this season truly unforgettable.
Regionals in Bucharest
The regional competition in Bucharest was an incredible experience for our three teams: Roboticon, Hydro Hackers, and Cyber Spark. Throughout the day, they put their problem-solving and engineering skills to the test, designing and programming their robots to complete missions inspired by underwater exploration.
More than just a competition, this event was about collaboration and discovery—finding innovative solutions, refining their strategies, and supporting one another. Their dedication and perseverance paid off: Cyber Spark qualified for the national stage.

Regionals in Chisinau
In Chișinău, Moldova, 2 of our teams (Roboticon and Cyber Spark) competed in another regional event, bringing their passion for STEM and teamwork to the forefront.
Our teams were honored to receive two major awards:
- The Core Values Award recognized our teams for their outstanding commitment to discovery, inclusion, and teamwork, essential qualities in both robotics and real-world problem-solving.
- The Coach Award celebrated the dedication of our incredible mentors, whose support and guidance helped shape the students’ journey.
We were beyond excited when Cyber Spark once again secured a spot at the national stage—a testament to their hard work and determination!

Nationals in Bucharest
On March 8th, Cyber Spark took to the national stage in Bucharest, competing against some of the best teams in the country. Their passion and teamwork were evident in every challenge they faced, and their efforts did not go unnoticed!
We are beyond proud to share that Cyber Spark won 3rd place in the Core Values category! This award highlights again their dedication to the core principles that define the FLL experience.

Nationals in Chisinau
Just a week later, on March 16th, Cyber Spark participated in the national stage in Chișinău.
Competing alongside the best teams in Moldova, the team showcased their innovative project with pride and enthusiasm. But beyond the competition, the experience was about so much more than just robots and technology.
Throughout the event, our kids had the chance to make new friends, share ideas, and learn from some of the brightest young minds in the country. Their passion for innovation and teamwork truly shone as they embraced every moment of the experience.

This season has been nothing short of amazing. Beyond the awards and achievements, our teams have grown, learned, and built new friendships. We are incredibly proud of each and every student who took part in this journey.
We can’t wait for next season’s adventure!
