I’ve been loving IT from an early age and I have started teaching IT and economics to teenagers and adults early in my college years. Working with children I thought to be a challenge, but it soon turned to be one of the best and most rewarding occupation. I’m in this project since the beginning of 2015, which was also the start of this project. I’m teaching the children of these centers what computers are, how they work, what can you do with them and most importantly how to use them. Starting from the basics to more advanced levels like HTML and CSS, I’m hoping to bring these children on the same level with children who have access to everything and why not go even further and make them competitive and ready to fight for a better place in society and to be an inspiration for others.
I am a firm believer that education has the power to transform lives. I believe it’s important for kids to know that we adults are here to support them. Whether they need help with their studies, have questions about life, or just need someone to listen, I’m here for them. I want every child to stay interested and excited about learning, so each lesson is fun and feels worthwhile.
Why teaching? My high school Romanian teacher was the first professor who encompassed the following attributes: a life coach, a friend in need, and an ethical, creative, patient person who taught the Romanian language and literature through the lens of life’s challenges beyond high school. Consequently, at the end of my twelfth grade, I set my heart on offering the children the best learning experience, making them fall in love with studying, as my mentor did. In this way, as years passed, I graduated from the Letters Faculty, Romanian English Specialization, and finished my master’s degree in Pedagogy. Since then, I have tried to carry my high school teacher’s legacy forward, giving my students the means to realize that the entire learning process can be enjoyable and fulfilling.
It is a incredible experience to guide a child to learn new things. For those children who have never had the opportunity to us a PC it is fantastic to discover how many things they can do with the help of technology, which is part of our daily life. Information technology is constantly growing, which is why we must do our best to use the available resources to facilitate the education and development of children, so necessary for their future.
